A farewell to overconsumption
Join the movement. Let’s contribute to change together.

At DILLING, we have produced clean products for four decades – and we will continue to do so. Today, most of DILLING's products are certified with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, produced in Europe, and dyed at our own dyehouse without harmful chemicals in Denmark. The sheep that provide the merino wool live under good conditions with space to roam freely.
Every year, we work to make our supply chain cleaner. At our dyehouse, more electricity has been converted to renewable energy with solar panels. We’ve also invested in a heat pump system and a buffer tank that help us save significant amounts of CO₂ and millions of litres of water. Every year.
Besides our focus on clean production, we also have a burning desire to make a difference with you. We hope that we can contribute to creating better consumption habits together. The climate is under massive pressure, whilst overconsumption and overproduction are still increasing rapidly.
Our hope is that we can start a movement this year that combats the unfortunate trend where up to 50% of the clothing in a wardrobe hasn't been used in at least a year.*

A farewell to overconsumption
It may seem contradictory that we, as a company, engage in the fight to reduce clothing consumption, when DILLING only exists because you buy our products.
But in our eyes, we need to have the courage to make a change and turn wardrobe shame into wardrobe joy. This is also how the Danish lecturer at the Royal Danish Academy, Else Skjold, puts it, who is an expert on sustainable fashion and clothing consumption. It does not mean that you should never buy clothes again. The goal is that there are critical considerations behind the clothes you buy, and that you see them as a long-term investment.

Discounts
It may seem contradictory that we encourage less consumption whilst occasionally offering discounts and offers. These should in no way undermine critical thinking, and we do not wish to encourage overconsumption. We are still advocates for mindful consumption and encourage you to consider each purchase as a long-term investment.
We aim, together with our customers, to create a community where as many people as possible contribute to changing our consumption habits. The more, the better. Therefore, we see discounts and offers as a means to reach out to those who have not yet experienced our high-quality clothing made from natural materials. By occasionally offering a good discount, we reach more people, which we believe is necessary in a world with an oversupply of poorly produced clothing at a too low price. It also allows those who already know us to purchase our clothing at a good price as their children grow or they need some new items.
At the same time, it provides us with an opportunity to invest even more in improving our production and many other positive initiatives. We could not do any of this without your support and that of many others. Only together, can we contribute to change.
